Researchers use the light utilization rate (OUF) to quantify the performance of the street lamp, the higher the light utilization rate, the better the performance of the street lamp. Computer simulation results show that this new type of street lamp system light utilization rate can reach 51% to 81%, far more than the current 45% of ordinary street lamps. In addition, compared with the traditional street lamps, this new type of street lamp brightness is higher, more energy saving, not easy to produce glare and light pollution. The researchers said that because the design of simple structure, the use of ordinary LED light bulbs, can be convenient for modular assembly. They expect the next 3 to 6 months to complete the prototype design, early next year on the road to carry out the actual installation of the experiment.
